Chris Feeney, our Managing Director spent 20 years working in the 4-star Hotel market. After progressing up through the ranks in some of the largest hotel companies in the world, he went on to hold a number of General Manager roles awarding him a genuine appreciation for the industry's challenges.

"The name Yellow 42 was inspired by my favourite book as a child, Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.  Yellow was Arthur Dent's first thought as he woke up as JCB's were demolishing his home before he was whisked away to a more meaningful life.  42 was the answer to life, the universe, and everything!

We live in a changing employment market which brings significant challenges however what hasn't changed is our ongoing commitment to improving peoples life's through providing opportunities".

Our Director, Louise Darroch, joined the team in December 2022 after 25 years of working in hospitality.  With her first introduction to the industry as a Banqueting Team Member whilst at school, there was no going back; she was hooked!  Following her passion through University and the Marriott Graduate Program, Louise also progressed up through the ranks within the Front Office, Events, Commercial and Revenue disciplines and became an integral part of the Executive Leadership Team.

"Chris and I met way back in the 90’s working together at The Glasgow Marriott Hotel and have worked alongside each other at different stages of our careers, so when the opportunity arose to join him with Yellow 42, how could I refuse!  Our experience in hospitality gives us a unique perspective of the highs and lows of this amazing industry and what it means to find the right people".

Lesley Walker, National Recruitment Manager, joined the team in January 2024 after 20+ years in Senior Hospitality Management roles and over 10 years in hospitality recruitment.

A graduate in Social Sciences, majoring in Psychology, the pull of bars and restaurants was too much and so started a long career in hospitality where her major came in very handy!!!  "Agony Aunt" to many.

Working as GM, Openings Manager, Bar Manager and up to Head of Operations for a National Bar/Restaurant chain in London, Lesley decided to return to her home city of Glasgow in the early 2000s.  After a few roles, she settled into hospitality recruitment, where ensuring candidate understanding and client relationships were top of the agenda.

“With years of knowledge in hotels, bars and restaurants across an array of venue types from branded to independents, I have a strong understanding of the hospitality industry and all the highs, lows, challenges and excitement it can bring.  I am well placed to execute innovative recruitment solutions tailor made to give clients and candidates the best experience.”
